KEI Vice President Mark Tokola Speaks with ABC News
July 8, 2019
After the meeting between Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump at the DMZ on June 30, KEI Vice President Mark Tokola was invited to ABC News to discuss its implications. It was a way to resume talks that had broken down in Hanoi. But Tokola also pointed out that the next step cannot be another summit between the two leaders at the White House. Instead, he notes that the respective negotiators must be sufficiently empowered to discuss hard issues.
