KEI Vice President Mark Tokola appeared on Russia-langauge news network RTVI to provide analysis of the last Trump-Kim Summit in DMZ. Despite the criticism, Tokola noted that the meeting was a way to restart talks that were stalled after the summit in Hanoi earlier this year. He reiterated that because the two leaders had failed to come to an agreement in Hanoi, working-level officials were in no position to bridge the differences thereafter. As a result, the meeting of two leaders at the DMZ was a solution to a problem.
