Read Event Description

Event Date

April 16th 12:00pm - 12:00am ET

Event Description

On April 16, KEI will facilitate a Six Party Talks simulation with students from American University's Washington Semester Program. The simulation places participants in the role of China, Russia, South Korea, North Korea, Japan and the United States in a hypothetical meeting of the Six Party Talks. The simulation challenges the students to examine the Six Party Process both as a mechanism itself and as the sum of its parts, in an interactive approach to understanding the challenges and issues the nations face in negotiating the de-nuclearization of North Korea. A presentation on the real progress of the Six Party Talks will follow the simulation. For more information on KEI's Six Party Talks simulation, please contact Nicole Finnemann at nmf@keia.org.
