Read Event Description

Event Date

September 17th, 2008 12:00pm - 12:00am ET

Event Description

Three prospective U.S. trade agreements are wandering in the diplomatic and legal wilderness that lies between the promise of signed agreements and the binding commitments of approved implementing bills. These are the U.S. FTAs with South Korea, with Colombia, and with Panama. The speakers at this colloquium will look at 1) the outlook for these three agreements – the likelihood of any or all of them being implemented this year or next – 2) the future of U.S. trade with these three countries, and 3) the future of their trade with the rest of the world.
