Seong-ik Oh is the Director General for Cadastral Resurvey Planning at Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. He is also a former assistant director at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, where he initiated Korea’s Ocean Strategy 2030. He received a bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University and master’s degrees from Harvard Kennedy School and Fletcher School at Tufts University, respectively. Also, he earned a Ph.D. from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University. He is also an adjunct professor at the Graduate School of Public Administration, Yonsei University. He authored , published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2023. Also, he co-authored (in Korean) in 2017. His publications in academic journals include “The Republic of Korea’s Eurasia Initiative and its Full Membership in OSJD: From the Perspective of Veto Player Theory” (Korean, 2015), “Korea’s Designation of Living Happiness Sphere in the Local Area from the Perspective of New Institutionalism” (Korean, 2015).
