Hack-young Lee is a member of the National Assembly (Democratic Party of Korea) in Republic of Korea, and this term is his third term (19th , 20th and 21st ) in National Assembly. He currently serves as chairperson of the Trade, Industry, Energy, SMEs and Startups Committee in National Assembly and is an executive advisor in the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation. Prior to becoming a member of the National Assembly, Lee served as a secretary general of YMCA Korea and co-chair of Korea Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation. He has published multiple works, including “Lee Hackyoung: Love of the World”, “If the World is One Family, Those Sad Days without a Dream”, and “River.”  He holds a PhD in NGO cooperation from Chonnam National University, an MA in Education from Sunchon National University, and a BA in Korean Literature from Chonnam National University.
