Concerns about North Korea’s military proliferation have been long-standing, including over the regime’s potential to proliferate weapons of mass destruction. In his new book, North Korean Military Proliferation in the Middle East and Africa, Dr. Bruce Bechtol, Jr. analyzes North Korea’s illicit networks of proliferation of military technology to groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah, as well as to countries in Africa. He looks at how North Korea has been able to evade sanctions, as well as the steps that will be necessary to contain North Korea’s efforts to sell military technology abroad.
