Panel Discussion

At the U.S.-Korea summit in May, the United States and South Korea agreed to deepen cooperation across a range of issues, two of the most significant of which were the development of secure supply chains and COVID-19 vaccines. The pandemic has disrupted global supply chains critical to the world’s economies and the healthcare sector battling COVID-19. As shortages and disruptions in supply chains continue, what practical steps can the United States and South Korea take to strengthen supply chains now and against future crises? With supply chains also playing an important role in vaccine production how can the United States and South Korea best work together on the production and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines?

Please join the Korea Economic Institute and the East Asia Foundation for a discussion on how the United States and South Korea can cooperate on securing supply chains and vaccines to manage the pandemic with experts from business, the health sector, and government.
