To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of KEI’s founding, KEI hosted a panel titled “KEI at 40: Imagining the Next 40 Years of U.S.-
Korea Relations.” The panel featured KIEP President Kim Heungchong, former ROK Minister of Trade Yoo Myung-Hee,
former Acting Deputy USTR Wendy Cutler, and KEI Vice President Mark Tokola. Following festivities were joined by KEI’s
Executive Board, as well as its close associates and friends from the past 40 years—including congratulatory messages from
Prime Minister Han Duck-Soo, former UNSG Ban Ki-Moon, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink, and NRC Chair Dr. Jung Hae-Gu.
