Yoo Myung-hee is the ambassador-at-large for economic cooperation for the Republic of Korea. Prior to her current role, she served as the first female Trade Minister for the Republic of Korea. She has devoted her career to advancing Korea's position in multilateral trade since 1995 when she took charge of World Trade Organization affairs at the Korean Ministry of Trade Industry and Energy. She also acted as the country's chief free trade agreement strategist, representing Seoul at negotiations for the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), the Korea-China FTA, the Korea-U.S. (KORUS) FTA renegotiation, among other trade initiatives.
