KEI's Troy Stangarone on Section 232 Investigation

KEI Senior Director Troy Stangarone spoke at an event co-hosted by KIEP-KEI on the economic implications of the U.S. mideterm election. He underscored that concern around China's unfair trade policies is a concern shared by both Republicans and Democratics – and anticipated U.S. trade pressures on China to continue under the new Congress.
On the issue of the ongoing 232 investigation, Stangarone added that preparations should be made for potential spillover of U.S. scrutiny to South Korean semiconductors.
