Read Event Description

Event Date

October 15th, 2009 12:00pm - 12:00am ET

Event Description

The Republic of Korea has undertaken a comprehensive and diverse free trade policy, pursuing agreements with key economies around the world. In the last two months, Korea concluded two significant agreements with the European Union and India. While it has been more than two years since the KORUS FTA was concluded, agreements begun after the conclusion of the U.S.-Korea FTA are likely to come into force before the United States’ agreement with Korea. What will this mean for U.S. manufacturers, U.S. trade policy towards Korea, and the fate of the KORUS FTA? Join KEI for a discussion of Korea’s FTA policy and its implications for United States.
