On April 30, the Biden administration will conclude its first hundred days in office. Early steps by the administration suggest that trade enforcement will be a priority, but supply chains, climate change, and digital trade will be important components of the administration’s trade policy. In its first 100 days, the administration initiated a review of critical U.S. supply chains and has placed a priority on addressing climate change. At the same time, the pandemic has highlighted the importance of digital trade with accelerated e-commerce growth and a swiftening transition to digital trade.
Please join the Korea Economic Institute and the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy for a discussion of the Biden administration’s trade policy after the first 100 days and the future prospects for trade policy as it relates to supply chains, digital trade, and climate change.
Please send any questions you might have for the panelists to yk@keia.org by May 3.
