The East-West Center, the Korea Economic Institute (KEI), and the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) will host the 20th annual U.S.-Korea Academic Symposium, which this year will be titled “Navigating Turbulence in Northeast Asia: Options for the U.S.-ROK Partnership,” at the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii from October 21-24.
The symposium will bring together policymakers, scholars, analysts and military experts from the United States as well as throughout the Asia-Pacific region to discuss pressing issues of mutual concern. Symposium proceedings will then published in KEI's Joint U.S.-Korea Academic Studies, and distributed to over two thousand of the world's leading Korea watchers. Volume 20 will be delivered at the beginning of 2010.
