Event Date
November 14th, 2008 12:00pm - 12:00am ET
On November 14, the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for East Asian Studies, Center for Korean Studies, and International Relations Program will co-host a 3 hour exercise simulating the Six Party Talks facilitated by KEI. Each student will be assigned a role representing one of the six countries (China, the United States, South Korea, Japan, North Korea, and Russia) and will participate in a fictional summit aimed at setting up a regional peace and security regime. A discussion will follow relating the simulated experience to current events. Over 260 students at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate level (through different versions) have now participated in this new line of KEI University Programming. UPenn is the sixth university host.
