Event Description

Last year, KEI in partnership with YouGov conducted its first annual survey of U.S. views of the Korean Peninsula. Since that initial survey, the United States has withdrawn from Afghanistan, raising questions about U.S. commitments to its allies and partners that had already been shaken by the Trump presidency. Has the American public’s view of the alliance and the stationing of U.S. troops in South Korea shifted? Does the American public believe that the United States has vital interests in the Indo-Pacific that should keep it engaged in the region?

Please join KEI for a discussion of these and other issues for U.S.-Korea relations as KEI releases the results from its second annual survey on American attitudes towards the Korean Peninsula.
