The Republic of Korea will hold its 20^th presidential election on March 9, 2022. The ruling Democratic Party nominated former Gyeonggi Province Governor Lee Jae-myung as their presidential candidate while the main opposition People Power Party will be fielding former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl.
