The past year has posed both evolving and enduring problems for the United States, the Korean Peninsula, and the transpacific relationship. An increasingly turbulent geopolitical landscape has combined with market aftershocks from the war in Ukraine and the receding pandemic to present unprecedented challenges to both the security and economic landscape of the Korean Peninsula. Have these disruptions shifted U.S. public opinion on the alliance or the value of trade with Korea? Have the international successes of South Korean pop culture in the past year translated to increasingly favorable views from the American public?
Please join KEI for a discussion of these and other issues for U.S.-Korea relations as KEI releases the results from its third annual survey on American attitudes towards the Korean Peninsula.
