Spencer H. Kim is the Chairman and CEO of CBOL Corporation, a global manufacturing and distribution company for high-tech products. He is also the Chairman of Celltron, a manufacturer of aerospace and industrial wiring harnesses. He formerly served as the chairman of Pioneer Aluminum.
In addition to his work in the private sector, Mr. Kim is a founder of the Pacific Century Institute, a non-profit foundation dedicated to building bridges of understanding among the peoples of the Pacific Rim. Recognizing Mr. Kim’s experience with both business and Asia policy, President George W. Bush appointed him as the U.S. representative on the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum’s Business Advisory Council from 2006 to 2008. He also chaired the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Korea in 2011.
Mr. Kim is a board member of the United States Asia Pacific Council, the Korea Economic Institute, the Center for Asia-Pacific Policy at the RAND Corporation, the Pacific Basin Institute at Pomona College, and the International Student Conference. From 1999 to 2012, he also served on the board of The Korea Society. Between 2012-2013, he was a resident fellow at Harvard’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation 2012-13.
