Song E. Young is a professor at the School of Economics at Sogang University in Korea. He teaches and researches in the field of international trade, economic integration, and economic growth. He currently is the President of the Korea International Economic Association He did his PhD work at Harvard University, and previously taught at Vanderbilt University.
He also serves as the Co-Chair of Public Fund Oversight Committee of the Korean Financial Services Commission, the Head of International Economy Section at the National Economic Advisory Council of Korea, and an advisory member of the Korean Chamber of Commerce. He regularly contributes economic columns to Korean newspapers.
