Korea Times highlights Troy Stangarone's analysis of the Korean labor market
October 9, 2018
Senior Director Troy Stangarone's analysis of the Korean labor market was cited in the Korea Times. In particular, the piece focused on his conclusion that labor market reform and improvements in the services sector were essential to acheiving Moon's goal of improving the lives of middle- and low-income families. Stangarone also suggested that rather than using fiscal policy to provide corporate subsidies to support a higher minimum wage, the Moon administration could provide tax incentives to firms for hiring additional workers similar to the U.S.'s Work Opportunity Tax Credit.
