KEI Welcomes Linda Kim

Linda Kim joined the Korea Economic Institute in August 2011 as the Associate Director for Programs & Internship Coordinator. She is responsible for the logistical planning and execution of all KEI events and programs as well as the selection and management of three classes of interns a year.

Prior to joining KEI, Ms. Kim was a Legislative Researcher for the Congressional Section at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Washington, DC. During her time at the Embassy, Ms. Kim handled critical issues pertaining to the US-ROK alliance partnership, including the Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement and the security situation on the Korean Peninsula, while also enhancing relations between the Embassy and the United States Congress. In addition, she also served as a coordinator for delegations between the United States and the Republic of Korea. Before this position, Ms. Kim worked on several state and national campaigns and interned with the Office of the Honorable John Kerry where she worked on foreign policy and environmental issues while also assisting on a side project related to the increasing role of the Asian American Community in the United States.

Ms. Kim earned her BA and BS from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University and is currently completing her MA at Johns Hopkins University. In addition, she completed a program at the Korea Language Institute of Yonsei University in the summer of 2001.
