KEI Welcomes Caryn Fisher

KEI is pleased to welcome Caryn Fisher as KEI’s new Executive Assistant and Office Manager. 

Caryn Fisher joined the Korea Economic Institute in June 2011 as the Office Manager and Executive Assistant. As part of her role in KEI, she will be taking over the administrative roles of the KEI office as well as assisting and supporting the activities of the President.

Prior to joining KEI, Ms. Fisher held internships at the U.S.-Korea Institute at SAIS and the North Korean International Documentation Project at the Woodrow Wilson Center. During the time spent working with the two organizations she focused on Sino-Korean affairs, North Korea-China affairs, and Korean disapora. She interacted with members of the D.C. community with interests in Korea through assisting in hosting and attending conferences, editing publications, and researching on a range of topics.

Ms. Fisher graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA in Winter 2009 with a B.A. in Asian Studies and an Asian Business and Society Certificate. During her three years at Temple she focused her studies on East Asian history and religion, and took language courses in Korean and Mandarin Chinese. She also spent a semester abroad in Fall 2008 at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea where she took classes on modern Korea, North Korean society and culture, and an intensive Korean language course.
