DPRK-China Trade Plummiting

On September 16, KEI Senior Director Troy Stangarone was quoted in a Radio Free Asia article about the low trade volume between North Korea and China in the first half of 2021. Troy stated that there are some signs that trade will begin to increase between the two states, but overall, if North Korea resumes its strict COVID-19 restrictions, it will have a much slower economic recovery.
