Biography
Paul J. Treadgold currently serves as Director of Government Affairs for Tokyo Electron (TEL), a leading global manufacturer of innovative semiconductor and flat panel display production equipment. In his current role, Mr. Treadgold is responsible for leading TEL’s Washington, DC office and engagement with US government stakeholders. Prior to joining TEL, Mr. Treadgold spent nearly seven years in various roles related to policy, advocacy, and government affairs for the US businesses of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, a leading science and technology company with operations across the healthcare, life science, and electronics industries. Before that, he spent more than four years in various roles at the US Chamber of Commerce and two years at McLarty Associates, a Washington, DC-based international strategic advisory firm that has served more than 300 clients in 112 countries. Mr. Treadgold began his time in Washington, DC working in the office of former US Senator Dianne Feinstein. Paul earned his MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and his BA in Political Science from Yale University. While working on his MBA, he completed a consulting project for Turkish Airlines in Istanbul, Turkey, and has also spent time living in China, Denmark, and Spain. Mr. Treadgold is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of Mandarin Chinese, French, and German.
