Biography
Jiyoung Song is the First Secretary in the Economic Section at the Korean Embassy in Washington D.C. She has worked for the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) since 2015. Prior to her current position, Ms. Song served as the Second Secretary in the Human Resources Management Division, Development Cooperation Policy Division, and Korea-Japan-China Trilateral Cooperation Division within the Ministry in Seoul. She has also served as a Second Secretary in the Economic Section at the Korean Embassy to the Arab Republic of Egypt. In 2019, she received the Foreign Minister’s Commendation for Excellence in Public Service.
Ms. Song received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Yonsei University.
