Dukhwan Hwang has served as the 1st Secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Washington, D.C. since August 2024. He is responsible for Public Diplomacy, engaging with think tanks, academic institutions, and media outlets.
Mr. Hwang joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2015, and has since worked in several divisions, including the ROK-US Security Cooperation Division II, Asia and Pacific Division II, Inter-Korean Policy Division, and Protocol Division II.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Yonsei University and completed the Diplomatic Candidate Program at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy in 2015.
