Dr. Chung Un-Chan was Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea from 2009-2010. From 2002 to 2006, he served as the President of Seoul National University (SNU), where he was Professor of Economics from 1978 to 2009. He began his academic career as an assistant professor at Columbia University in 1976. He founded Korea Institute for Shared Growth in 2012 and is heading the Institute as Chairman until now. As an avid baseball fan, he served as the 22nd Commissioner of Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) from 2018 to 2020.

PM Chung earned a master’s degree in economics at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) in 1972 and a doctoral degree in economics at Princeton University in 1978.
