Brett Gerson is a Senior Manager, Head of AI Infrastructure Policy, Government Affairs & Public Policy, at Google Cloud. Based in Washington, DC, Mr. Gerson is a member of Google Cloud’s Government Affairs & Public Policy team, where he advises senior executives on geopolitical developments related to AI infrastructure, semiconductors and hardware supply chains. Before joining Google in 2018, Mr. Gerson served as the Commercial Policy Officer and Digital Trade Attaché at the US Embassy in Beijing, where he was responsible for helping US companies navigate the business and regulatory environment in China. Mr. Gerson has also served as a legal advisor on China-related matters at the US Department of Commerce after starting his career as an attorney in a multinational law firm’s international trade group. Mr. Gerson received his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law and his B.A. from the University of Arizona.
