Bo Ram Kwon

Research Fellow
Korea Institute for Defense Analyses (KIDA)

Dr. Bo Ram Kwon is Research Fellow at the Korea Institute for Defense Analyses (KIDA). Her research expertise includes U.S. security and defense strategy, U.S.-ROK Alliance, the nexus between U.S. foreign policy and domestic politics, and economic sanctions. In 2022, she examined Korea’s strategic thought regarding multinational joint military exercises and defense cooperation in terms of economic security. Dr. Kwon currently serves as the Research Coordinator at the Center for Security and Strategy at KIDA.

Dr. Kwon was a Visiting Fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2020-2022). She holds a B.A. in political science and business administration from Ewha Womans University and an M.A. in international relations from Korea University. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
