Irene Park is the Office Manager and Executive Assistant at the Korea Economic Institute of America. She joined KEI in January 2019. Prior to KEI, she worked as office manager at Korea Prime Consulting, an investment consulting firm based in Korea, where she managed office administration and organized the CEO’s professional calendar. Irene honed her management and organizational skills when she founded and operated a healthy meal-delivery subscription start-up, Champ Kitchen, three years ago in Seoul, Korea. She has worked in various other fields before this, including entertainment as a digital marketer for CJ E&M’s channel Mnet and script writer for tbs eFM’s Primetime, an English radio news broadcasting program based in Seoul.
Irene also works as a freelance Korean-English interpreter and has most recently provided interpretation and translation services to a group of NATO representatives who visited the Korean National Assembly in 2017 and to a high-level North Korean defector, Ri Jong Ho, at a roundtable discussion in Washington, DC, in 2018.
Irene graduated from Yonsei University’s Underwood International College (UIC) in 2010 with a B.A. degree in political science and international relations. While at UIC, she created the Yonsei Habitat for Humanity Club. She earned an M.A. degree in simultaneous interpretation from the Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in 2017.
