Getting Published

KEI seeks creative and rigorous social science, policy and/or economic analyses on Korea and Northeast Asia. Submissions must be original work and written exclusively for KEI.  Papers presented or published previously will not be accepted.

KEI has a variety of publication series that vary in length from 800 words editorial pieces to monographs of 50-75 pages.  Submitted papers will be judged for originality, rigor, qualification of author, and relevancy to the policy community.

If accepted, KEI will work with authors to refine, edit and finally publish paper.  Publications are normally distributed to over 9,000 government officials, think tank experts, and scholars throughout the United States and around the world.

Depending on the publication series, some authors will receive an honorarium for their work. Additionally, if warranted, KEI will invite author to KEI's conference center in Washington, DC to present their research before a policy audience.

If you are interested in submitting a paper, please use the form below to send necessary information.

Please include paper's central questions and/or arguments, a discussion of why the subject matter is important for Korea watchers, and a proposed outline.
