Min K. Kang joined the Korea Economic Institute in August 2011 as the Director of Finance and Human Resources. Mr. Kang is responsible for managing KEI’s finances and human resources management.

Prior to joining KEI, Mr. Kang was an accountant/auditor for COGC & Co PA., CPAs, the largest Korean-American CPA and business-consulting firm in the Eastern area. He was responsible for providing professional services which include audit, financial advisory and tax consulting for profit and nonprofit sectors. He served diverse clients from individuals to companies in a variety of industries including wholesale/distribution, construction, real estate, manufacturing, government, non-for-profit and education.

Previously, he worked as a Financial/Budget Analyst for Aeolus Systems LLC(Government Contractor), where he was involved in providing analytical support to the budget decision-making support process and has performed financial analysis and account reconciliation.

He has worked and interned in various business industries including Liberty Tax Service and U.S Food Service, Inc and Credit Solution & Financial Services, Inc.

He is currently serving as Treasurer for The Center for Business as Mission, Inc., an official 501(C)(3) Nonprofit Organization where he is responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial records and tax issues for the organization.

He holds an Enrolled Agent (EA) license, a tax professional recognized by the U.S federal government to represent taxpayers in dealings with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Mr. Kang earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the University of Maryland, College Park and his Master of Science in Taxation at American University. He also completed the certificate program in Advanced Strategic HR management at Cornell University.
