Academic Paper Series – On Korea
In December 2006, KEI initiated its Academic Paper Series. KEI commissions 10 papers per year with diverse perspectives on original subjects of current interest to Korea watchers. This year-long program provides both leading Korea scholars and new voices from around the world to speak and write on trends and events affecting the Korean peninsula.
KEI will edit and distribute each paper as a KEI Academic Paper to over 5,000 government officials, think tank experts, and scholars around the United States and the world. Distribution of each paper will be followed by a public discussion with the author at KEI.
Authors selected for the Academic Paper Series are invited to the Korea Economic Institute to discuss their research before a Washington, DC policy audience. At the conclusion of each series, the papers are compiled and published together as the On Korea volume.
