How the Trump Administration Should Address

North Korea

North Korea presents one of the most significant foreign policy and security challenges for the incoming Trump administration. This year the United States and the international community placed increasingly tough sanctions on the rogue state, yet Kim Jong-un continues to demonstrate the capabilities of his nuclear and rocket programs in defiance of these measures. With these policies seemingly not meeting their intended purpose, a debate questioning how the U.S. should approach North Korea has reemerged as President-elect Trump prepares to take office.

Please join KEI and Korea expert David Straub for an analysis of the crucial factors to consider in formulating an effective policy towards North Korea and recommendations for the Trump administration.
